Nothing like a good demonstration

I really want one of these now.

As the world population grows, I can see this kind of thing going up in cramped apartments where there's no possible view, prisons, hospitals ... looking out into fields, beaches ... it's better than just walls around you, better mentally and spiritually.

I guess some could live in a mostly virtual world, better than what they may be living in now.

A few months ago I had an opportunity to visit the flight simulators of a major airline company (can't talk about it) and fly a huge airplane (with help) and it felt extremely real, all of it, yet I never left the ground. So I can tell you what it feels like to be in the cockpit of one of those airplanes and I can tell you what it felt like to have the controls, to turn, to attempt to land, yet I've never actually done it (only in single engine planes)

So if a man is in prison, he can stand in front of a virtual window and look out into a peaceful field, a lake ... maybe they would rehabilitate faster.

I can totally see the benefit of this in hospitals, helping people heal faster while they're stuck inside.

This ad was great. It would've completely freaked me out I want one!

Not sure if you've read "The Lean Start up"... but there was a passage in there that really showed the power of a demonstration... and it was performed by Drew Houston, CEO of DropBox...

"The challenge was that it was impossible to demonstrate the working software in a prototype form.

The video is a simple 3 minute demonstration of the technology as it is meant to work, but it was targeted at a community of early adopters. Drew narrates the video personally and as he's narrating, the viewer is watching his screen. The viewer can watch his mouse manipulate his computer"

that's why if I do copy for a client who is selling software, or something that needs to be seen to be appreciated, I'll have the client do a video showing exactly how it works and what it does.
