You're smelling up the joint

With a similar style to Dollar Shave Club, Poo-pourri has a snappy video ad. In this case, they found the perfect chipper spokesperson for a product that masks those nasty odors from the water closet (NSFW):

Poo-Pourri Ad

Yes, it is a real product that supposedly really does what it says on the tin.

Was she suggesting that you take it with you so you don't stink up your boyfriend's bathroom?

It would weird me out to walk into my bathroom after my girlfriend had been in there, and smell an air freshener that wasn't mine.

    That said - solid ad.

As soon as I started doubting she jumped into overcoming objections and offering guarantees.

Been spending a lot of the summer traveling in the east looking at real estate and a couple businesses to acquire.

Can't remember where it was (month ago?) we got back to our hotel after partying a little bit too much...I was half asleep (sort of one of those in and out sleeps) when a commercial for this product came on.

At first I thought I was dreaming...seemed like an odd product to market.

Now that you brought it up, it makes me wonder how well they're doing with the product.

One of the reviewers at Amazon writes, "This product does what it says it does and it will prevent bathroom odor rather than covering it up."

How she knows it does what it is supposed to do? Ones "smeller" becomes desensitized while one is in the privy. Thus one thinks one's stuff doesn't stink.

Did she ask someone else to come take a whiff?

At one of the Warrior events, I was listening to someone describe a food item that didn't have a good taste. He said, "It tastes like shit."

I asked, "How do you know?" He was speechless for the moment it took the concept to sink in. (perhaps I should say "stink in.) Then the guys around him broke up laughing.

    • joe golfer, ... tears, ... no utter disbelief, yes that's more accurate. Then I began to deeply realize this was going to be a powerful but unbelievably edgy, almost make you squirm commercial for a Real product.

Back to the tears. By the time I was about three quarters the way through the delivery I was laughing so hard I couldn't stop the tears. My god. That was so funny I only sent it to my closest family members whom I know will respond similarly. That's reactionary material.

Joe golfer, seriously, that had to be one of the most hilarious pieces of video work, in its niche, and also one of the most effective to accomplish what it sets out to do with the issue of embarrassment: humor-ize it: Over 4,000,000 bottles already sold world wide. Great show!
