Writing Product Reviews

How are you?

Could you please share some fundamental tips to writing killer product reviews. The purpose is to sell the product in the end and make money off the affiliate connection. I only pick products that I like or I think will sell very well.

If you have links to articles thats great but I want to know how you increase your success rate and the methods you take to get there.

Also, if you could provide links to some well written product reviews, it will help. I often learn from seeing great work.

      Anything else? lol

Dude, go to Google and search "How to write product reviews". You may have to dig, but you'll find what you're looking for.

Next, Google "[niche name] reviews" and you'll see a ton of them. From your product review research, you should be able to determine which ones will make good models.

I did go to google and search around but you come to a marketing forum to get advice from people who have success doing this on a daily basis and are notorious for results.

Advice... yes. Courses on how to do something... no.

          I gave you excellent advice.

If you follow it, if you're motivated, and if you're willing to put the time in... you should be an excellent product-review writer in just a short time.

When writing product reviews the most important thing is to be honest. You should talk about the good AND the bad.

But it's kind of like a job interview: when you talk about the bad things you can make it sound good at the same time ;-)

For example "This knife is so sharp it might cut your finger, so be careful"

There are loads of different things that go into making an amazing product review. You have to catch the attention of the user, and a lot of this comes down to the formatting and layout of the text. You need to explain why the product benefits them, and why they should choose the product over others currently on the market.

When a person is reading a review, they want to know how this product or service is relevant to themselves.

Don't say, "This product is great. You should get it!" That tells the reader nothing.

Speak to the situation. How were you thinking and feeling BEFORE you bought the product? Why were you looking for something new?

"Before I bought Fruiter Granulation 5000, I was sooooo disappointed at the amount of pulp in my so-called "juiced" orange juice. I own three other juicers, and they all suck--pulp aplenty in my healthy drink is the most gawd-awful turn-off to juicing! So, enraged at the continued presence of all these little floaties in my juice, off I went to find something I hoped and prayed was out there: a juicer that got rid of pulp FOREVER."

Then proceed on to what you discovered, the results and how it made you think and feel.

"Luckily, I pretty quickly found that I didn't have to invest in a whole brand new juicing machine. That would have been expensive! Instead, I found this filtering device that is adjustable to fit into ANY juicer. WOW! Talk about the pulp extractor of my dreams!

"It's been a month since I got my Fruit Granulation 5000, and it's going strong. The parts are all metal, so it's not going to break. And I'm LOVING my pulp-free juice! Anyone who is driven UP THE WALL by pulp--this is your savior!"

Paints a picture, don't it? (I made this up: sadly, the Fruit Granulation 5000 is a figment of fiction...)

Anyone reading who recognizes this situation will feel that the review is speaking directly to them. That's power.

Assuming you're trying to give a review in order to butter someone up to buy from your link, here's the best way...

BUY THE PRODUCT. Only then can you really be honest in your review.

If you are about to review a product, first thing choose a good one, at least.
Go through pros first, then cons.
Don't try to hide the cons but better try to research solutions for the cons. Nothing is perfect, if the customers see what they can do to improve, it'll be better.

-Use a lot of imagery at first, how the package looked, how the product looked, how it felt in your hands
    -Name both pros and cons
-If it's your number one brand, say something like: "After putting each brand through my rigorous testing methods, this one came out on top by just a nose over (2nd place brand)
-Give the product scores for multiple categories (Price, Performance, Customer Service, etc) and describe your reasons for that score
-Have pictures that aren't from the company website and look way too professional.
-Throughout the whole thing be sure to give a lot of details describing your experience. Why you wanted it, how you felt when you got it, how it makes you feel now
-When you say negative things, be sure to say "But blah blah feature definitely makes up for that most of the time"
