Hey folks,

This was in my newsfeed and I figured I share it.

Here is a Craigslist Ad for a guy selling his Jeep to die for.

Yep...that is a sales pitch and a half...and no correcting his grammar and punctuation either. I reckon he did sell it easily...good luck to him too.

    Gotta love the qualifying.

You know what amazes me? This kind of ad would never fly officially but for all intents and purposes, it's better than what most car companies do.

PS: He should have started a bidding war.

He just needs Dennis Leary to narrate that for him. I have been seeing some of these posts come up a lot lately on Craigslist and I know I can write some to sound the same. What do you guys think about these kind of ads? Detracting or helpful in selling the products?

I read this awhile back and found it pretty funny. I wonder if he bantered the new owner during the transaction lol.

As a Craigslist ad, I think the humorous quality is there. He may hit a .20% broad demographic (being generous), a .50% niche demographic (consider 50% women). A polished piece, with all the fine tuning complete, it is not. However, he is not writing an ad for a fortune 500 company. Funny copy! IMHO.

Brilliant and very entertaining. I'll bet he got more calls about his ad and copywriting than for the Jeep!

What stood out to me was the likability of the ad, I would've wanted to do business with this guy over the other hundred Jeep owners who just listed the transmission type, and so on.

I'm the one who ended up buying it.

      He was right:

I have more hair on my chest (10 whole hairs! Up from the 3 that I had before I bought this beast), my d**k has gotten inexplicably longer and I'm having sex in places I didn't know you could have sex.

And while all of that is great... the most amazing part has really got to be my new pet T-Rex.

      Best $6500 I ever invested.

        How appropriate is that?

An internet marketer buys the car. LOL

You couldn't ask for a more fitting cap on this thread.

Texans like him make up for the George Bush crowd living there. Kudos, swingbelly.
