My Conversion Plan for Cold Traffic (thanks Ewen Mack)

Ewen Mack made a brilliant response in this thread where he outlined an amazing sales funnel:

http://www.warriorforum.com/copywrit...ml#post8791534

I have my own product and am sure I have a few things that are broken. I'm testing the following:

1). Facebook traffic --> presell --> video sales letter. The presell has some free tips to help guys build muscle and lose fat. Here's the presell: www.TheScienceofGettingRipped.com/tips

2). A quiz styled squeeze page. I figured that a quiz would be more engaging. I get about a 15% to 20% optin rate. Apparently my AR sequence apparently sucks. It's not converting for some reason. Here's the quiz/optin page:
www.TheScienceofGettingRipped.com/quiz

My first goal is to improve my optin rate. Then I'll work on implementing the sales funnel Ewen mentioned in that post. I'm especially interested in his point "Your main product will sell many times more when it's presented as an upsell on a low price purchase...no matter how good the copy is for this training."

Thanks,
Raza

    Try this out.

Instead of asking quiz questions that test their knowledge of fitness.

Ask questions that relate to their desire for fitness.

    So instead of
1). In Order to Get Ripped You Need to _________

    Try something like...

You want to get ripped because _____
    1) Improved health and energy.
    2) Sexier body.
    3) etc, etc.

Also I'd test having one question, instead of a whole page.
That way the opt-in is above the fold, and there's less resistance for putting in their info.

(The idea of them answering questions, making micro commitments is good.
But too much resistance is counterproductive.)

I know a copywriter who does the quiz-squeeze in the dating niche and it's killing it.

Hit me up if you want any more help.

(Let's talk about your AR. Pretty sure I can help you out there.)

      Interesting you say this.

I've seen banner ads around for ages with quiz tests for all sorts of weird things.

Got my client to set this up as the opener of a whole marketing funnel.

      Best,
      Ewen

Raza, the Quiz page is uninviting.

        7 day e-course?

        No thanks.

        People want instant gratification.

How you work around it is by giving one thing a person can do,
in great detail to get the desired result they want.

From there, he can see himself achieving.

However he will want to know what's the next step.

This is where you introduce him
to the x number of steps to get the outcome he wants faster
        and with more certainty.

Eban Pagan did a great job in the dating niche for men.

The first step which answered the men's question,
"How do I tell if she likes me?"

So he gave them the answer to that question
        with his kiss test.

He now feels he has that mastered, but now needs to try it out on a girl.

        But he doesn't have one.

So the next step is to introduce him to the next step in his training,
on how to get a date.

It all follows a natural sequence, from taking where a person is now to
small steps for getting the end result wanted.

        Am I making myself clear?

        Best,
        Ewen

I can't speak to the banner ads quiz. He only had a quiz on his squeeze page (to my knowledge).

Curious as to how it will work on a banner ad.

Fantastic angle, you just changed the features into benefits.

Benefits are so much more powerful.

There's a little know software that creates survey (or quiz style) squeeze pages.

Then once the prospect answers the questions, they are sent to a page where they can read the customized responses based on the answers they gave.

This gets the prospect involved right from the start.

It keeps the prospect on your site longer, and it immediately builds up a level of trust that you don't get with standard type of squeeze pages
