Split test this Squeeze Page

I am trying to decide what copy to split test against this current copy for this squeeze page. Opinions? It's a pretty simple Squeeze page but from what Leadpages says, it converts pretty high, but I'm not so sure what copy to use?

  • Is the traffic going to it have a well established business
    or after a business opportunity?

    Best,

  • Biz op. just building a list. so most traffic will come through banner advertising on "make money" forums/blogs

    • Ok, for them they are still in day jobs.

The money isn't the motivating factor,
it's having another source of income which allows
them to quit their day job.

Knowing this and knowing a list of free tools was
the biggest response rate for Lead Pages,
come up with your own list of free tools.

The offer would read something like...

      -------------------------------------------------
5 FREE Tools So You Can Quit Your Day Job Faster
      -------------------------------------------------

      Best,
      Ewen

P.S. Then have your money offer on the Thank You page.
  • What are your backend sales funnels like?

When testing copy its important to only change one thing at a time, or else you won't know exactly what brought the raise or drop in opt-ins.

I would start by changing only ONE thing at a time. As far as the copy goes, you should model it at least similar to what you are pitching on the back end. This makes the transition from opt-in to sale smoother imo.
  • Thanks @ewen, I'll most likely split test something along the lines of yours.

@JustinTyme yes, I'll only change things slowly when testing but as for the backed sales funnel.

Squeeze Page> "Immediate monetizer" ($7 product)>upsell to main product>thank you page.

Then the email sequences just go along the lines of email every 2 days and...content, content, content, promo, content, content, Promo, etc.

Thanks for the Squeeze.. will see how it converts..
  • any more opinions?
  • Well, many points that I would change before I would even consider testing:

    1. The background image is lame.
While you might find it relaxing, most people will find it boring.
Find something that is a little more exciting. Woman on the beach, beach, city lights...
A lonely country road with mostly sky is probably not good for conversions.

    2. You ask for email and first name. Scratch that name field. Does only harm your conversions.

3."The Top #1 Method To Generating
    $5,000-$10,000 Per Month In 2014
    Sign Up Now!"

    4. "The Top #1" redundant for no reason. Either it is "The Top" or it is "#1".

    5. "$5,000 - $10,000": What exactly? If you say a range it's nothing particular. $5,667.50 works better.

    6. "Sign Up Now!": Does not add anything. Will only reduce conversions.

    7. "Download the report": Turn it over to them: "Your Report".

    • Thanks! Already started implementing some of those suggestions for a split test.

The only problem I have is, I have heard that the name takes away conversions (obviously) but I am really trying to build a solid relationship with my list and use their name sometimes in subject fields to increase open rates.
