Evil by Design, the site for the book by the same name, tells you how to exploit "persuasive design patterns" -- though a lot of the points the site touches on are definitely relevant to persuasiveness in copywriting.

In fact, the site divides its precepts into categories corresponding to the "7 deadly sins" (like star copywriter Chris Haddad advises), and each of the categories spells out principles and examples.

Reminds me of the book "50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive," if you're familiar with that one...
