How to use your email to get current sales letter swipes

For me... using a swipe file is kind of a love/hate relationship.

There are times where I'll use a swipe file for motivation/direction/structure...
and then there are other times where I'll just get creative and not really use any other sales letter for reference. Just go with the gut and experience.

But here's something I've been doing lately, to get up to date with niches I'm not that familiar with.

For example, I've been doing a ton of sales letters in the financial and investment niches.

So, I'll hunt down all the major players/major mailers in the investment/financial niche... and subscribe to as many as their email newsletters as possible.

Believe me, you can find hundreds of email lists to join and newsletters to receive... all by some of the biggest and most profitable mailers.

Agora is one of the better known... but again, if you know where to look, you can find hundreds of email lists you can join.

And of course, almost all of the emails you get will include a sales pitch... and a link to click on to visit that sales pitch.

Well, I've been keeping a separate email address JUST to get emails from the major mailers.

So, when a project comes up that I have to write copy for, I'll do a "search" in my email search box for keywords specific to that copy.

and in seconds, I can find sales letters for that niche.

For example, if I'm doing a sales letter on Forex, I'll head to my email, do a keyword search for "Forex" in my email, and presto... will have dozens of emails related to Forex.

And in each one, there's a link to a sales pitch and sales letter that's probably been written by an A-list copywriter.

So, it's just a shortcut I've been using.

Subscribe to different newsletters in a few niches you may want to write copy for... and make sure the newsletters/email lists are from the major players and big mailers.

Then, when you get a copy project, go to your email and do a keyword search for that niche... like "Forex"... and up pops those emails related to Forex. in each email should be a link to a sales letter you can use as a swipe/motivation/ideas, etc....

Just a thing I've been doing lately, if I want to study up on swipes in niches I'm not that familiar with... seems to be a quick way to learn the lingo, language, and slang terms.
