Please Rip Apart My Landing Page

Hey Guys,

I'm currently using FB PPC to direct users to my landing page. However, although I'm getting website clicks, no one is actually ordering anything. The ads are targeted and the people are interested, but I have a feeling it has to do with my landing page.

I'd really like your thoughts and opinions. I'm open to making any changes that might help those clicks turn into sales. The site is pets

  • i would try to bring more attention to your headline. try to make it bigger than the pet alert 360 or use some type of framing on your headline.

    I would capture the lead with a smaller simple landing page with a clear call to action. Once they get that information, you can automatically redirect them to your larger page with additional information. ALWAYS capture the lead so that you can continue to make contact with them. It usually takes 4 - 7 follow ups to gather interest.

      I really appreciate the advice guys! However, since I'm so new to this I'm a bit confused. If I send them to a simple landing page to capture their email what am I supposed to be giving them in return?

      Also, when/if they enter their email address, should the page I redirect them to stay the same as the one I have now or should I shorten it? I don't want the information to seem redundant.
  • it looks like eveything has been cramed into one place the landing page, can you not sepearte your services over various inner pages and have visitor click thrus to those pages, for a new visitor seems to be a lot to take in on hitting the landing page..use h1 and h2 tags on important words and unless you ahve done so already some longtail keywords/phrases and like 1 post said above take some attention of the pert alert 360 and vary it out on other parts..good luck with it.. nice idea you got their :-)
  • try to make the sale. dont worry about capturing leads IMO. if you capture leads first, you will lose out on the sales.

    • No offense, but this is just terrible advice. They've clearly said they aren't making any sales, so minor things like making the headline bigger and putting a frame around it are not going to solve anything. And why does every successful person online capture leads if it means they will lose out on the sale?

      Like Mario said, the problem is that you aren't hitting the emotional hot buttons here. This style of sales page works better for the IM and MMO niches, but it's not your best option here.

      Learn how to tell a story and connect with your audience. Figure out what the biggest pain point is and hammer that home.

      Telling them that 1 in 3 pets go missing is not the same as describing in detail how it felt when you lost your dog and had to look your daughter in the eyes and tell her that her best friend was gone and was never coming back. How it crushed you to see her emotionally distraught and that you blamed yourself for not taking action to prevent it. So you created this company to make sure no family would have to go through the heartache that yours did.

      Or whatever your story is that you want to share with your audience. You should have a good reason for why you're in this business, other than wanting to make money. Tell people what it is.

  • Page looks ok (noticed the testimonial from Patrick Kelly where his city and state is cut off by the Protect My Pet banner). #1 Is the lander responsive? I'm viewing your page from my laptop but if I did it from my mobile or tablet what would I find? Remember, most are viewing websites these days from their phone. 2# Like others pointed out you need a way to collect leads and follow up. Also long pages seem to do ok in the IM niche but perhaps not the same results in the pet niche. Simplifying the page somehow and making it shorter, combined with collecting email address most likely would yield better conversions. Good luck with that endeavor!

    • Thank you for your reply. It should be responsive and I'm unsure why it is giving you that problem. I built the site myself in wix because I didn't want to pay a developer prior to getting sales. It's definitely not as good as I'd like it to be, but wix has a lot of limitations.

      I have a good idea on how I can shorten the page, but I am unsure of a good way to collect their emails without interfering with the sales process. I am also a bit unsure of what I would offer them in return for their email address.
