    It's more interesting although you have to make an angle that will make it more interesting and unique from other diet myth busters.

    To me, these read like blog post headlines, is that what they are?

    I did a study for one of our sites, and found that blog posts with "7" in the title outperformed all others when it came to clicks. They did not win on conversions, though...

    That prize went to, simply, the most informative posts, no matter the title.

      You mean to say these titles will not perform well when it is used for Paid Traffic?

        Depends on the traffic AND on your goal. As blog headlines to get opt ins, kickstart SEO on a new site or warm up for a transition into selling, they're okay. As sales letter headlines, you need a stronger hook.

    Out of the first 6-7, the others I don't think'll convert.

    I think the "best" headline would have something to do with your target market, i.e. the amount of weight loss wanted.

    For instance,

    "Are you tired of waddling down the street?" would imply a much greater weight loss is needed than your headlines. But I also think it might get the attention of the audience that needed a lot of weight loss.

    I normally brainstorm with the end-in-mind...

    1. Prospect derives her own meaning from it (eg. Melt away fat... "Oh, so I can become confident in front of guys!")

    2. Indirectly provoke the emotion associated with it (eg. embarrassment... insecurity... "Oh, I'm too embarrassed, I can't wear a bikini on the beach confidently...")

    3. Directly present the end-benefit they are looking for (eg. confidently ask your dream guy out etc)

    4. Indirectly provoke a familiar situation for rapport (eg. a story headline/something they have been experiencing and can relate to/a trusted name that they know)

    It also helps to know what segment of the market your traffic is mainly composed of... Are you targeting the seasoned dieters? The wannabe dieters? Your message should be tweaked accordingly...

    Even if you're swiping, use the emotions... Cosmopolitan magazines are brilliant at it gosh, I just 'wow' everytime I see one of those emotionally-heavy headlines.

      [BTW that is a big market segment]

      The right words then start falling into place.

    It addresses a specific problem (although probably lots of people may feel it's about them) and promises a solution.

    I've seen every single one of those headlines, or at least a very similar variation.

    If you want to catch people's attention and interest... you're going to need to think outside the box.

    In a market as jaded and saturated as weight loss...you should be presenting how what you have is different and link some proof to it if you can-as Gary B would say.

    These are nice headlines but we've seen them all before.

    Why is what you have the bees knees?

    Also...you need to really segment down to who are selling to.

    A young girls reason for losing weight is different to an older woman's or a guys.

    Forget the clever word play for now and get this stuff straight.

    You're next post should be...I'm selling a weight loss product to "these people" and here is my headline.

    then bare in mind that most, if not all people on here will not know your market like you.
    so you can ignore most of the comments.
