How to create a landing page that Kicks Azz!!
Great news!
I got some more practical advice coming your way.
Can't think of a better way to spice up your holiday weekend!
I hope it will help you create a landing page that converts, rivets, dazzles and shines like a beacon in the dark night, setting you apart from the rest of the world.
Guess what? It's easier than you think!
Here goes...
What are your prospects thinking about while reading your copy?
"Why on earth should I believe you?!"
It's a valid question, isn't it?
I am glad we agree on this one.
What you have to do is offer PROOF.
Solid, genuine, unadulterated proof!
Your job is to convince your readers that you are a real thing, not a fraud.
If you are selling a service, you should provide strong testimonials, display your diploma (a master's degree or a medical degree), show your samples, etc. In case you are touting your product, make sure you provide excellent reviews, case history or performance graphs.
Identify a problem.
Focus your prospect's attention on the need or problem your product addresses. Remind them what steps they need to take to resolve it asap.
Tell them how important it is to get it out of the way, so that they can live happily ever after.
Position your service or product as a solution to a problem.
Be careful, though. Avoid the hype and senseless gibberish.
Don't sweeten your statements with too much honey.
And don't put too much sugar in your cake. It will raise cholesterol levels and result in a stroke. Be a salesperson, not a zealot or a killer.
Keep in mind that writing a landing page is not the same as writing a print sales letter.
If you try to create a landing page without any web knowledge, you are screwed...Big time!
Here is what I want you to do:
Build credibility EARLY. You may want to put your best testimonial above your headline. Remember: most people have a short attention span.
Don't let them slip away and disappear for good.
Capture the email addresses of your visitors.
Use lots of bullets. Make each selling point sound as compelling as possible.
Don't try to impress everyone with fancy words or intricate expressions. Bury your huge ego and try to be as straightforward as possible. Pretend you are talking to a five-year-old "goon".
Always tap into your prospect's emotions (make them weep, if possible). And of course, don't forget about a money-back guarantee and a bunch of freebies. People browsing the net, often react strongly to free stuff.
Now you are ready to get the ball rolling.
Good luck with your endeavors!
And enjoy your 4th of July celebration!
