Hey guys, when I contact manufacturers, should I provide a custom email address to make it look more professional? If yes, is it possible to make one without purchasing a domain name? Or is there an other way around? Thx

    As we said previously, set yourself up a simple WordPress site on a domain name and email with a reasonable theme or even just an html theme (pm if you need suggestions), make yourself look corporate. Will help no end - the last thing you want to do is 'persuade' them they should sell you products at wholesale - it goes downhill pretty fast from there.

    What if I will be selling on ebay and amazon? Will they still be checking the website?

    Amazon will ask you for 3 supplier invoices depending on the category, eBay have resticted categories but are more leanient however less trustworthy from a customer point of view.

    If you have the cash and time to spare to buy a domain and set up a site, it may be worthwhile, but it is not essential.

    What is much more important than your email address is the way you write your contact emails.

    @antis, you have my book, so you can use the sample email form in the book, Just change it to suit yourself, but it provides the basic requirements.

    You can sign yourself as Purchasing Manager or some other title and that will impress nearly as much as having an email address with your own site.
