Woocommerce - Can't get rid of standard Paypal button when using Express checkout

Hi,
I am using Woocommerce on a couple of my sites and use the Paypal Express Checkout plugin so that customers don't have to fill in their details before going to Paypal login. This works very well.

However, when I disable the Standard Paypal in the Woocommerce settings menu, the original payment details form, and the Proceed to Paypal button is still visible on my checkout page - except now I get an error to say that payment cannot be made this way. Not a good thing to be seen by your customers. So I have to have both Express and Standard enabled.

I can get rid of the payment forms with some code in the functions.php, and both the buttons do go to Paypal to enable payment. Unfortunately, the Standard checkout only goes to the normal paypal login page, and does not redirect back to my site properly, where with the Express Checkout, the Paypal login looks the same as my site (logo etc), and redirects perfectly.

So, what I need is to get rid of the forms and standard Proceed to Paypal button altogether. I have tried various themes, including the Woocommerce Storefront them, so its not theme related.

Can anyone advise? Thanks for any help.

Dominic
