How To Get Your Product On Etsy 1st Page Search Results

Hello,

I created an Etsy store for my products and joined several groups and followed about 200 people to generate some traffic to my store. I did receive about 20 follow backs and about 4-10 likes on each product.

However, when I do a search on Etsy for my products I am not even in the top 10 search pages. The top page of searches have about 1200+ reviews, 60k Likes on the products etc.

I am wondering how to achieve that when first starting out. It seems like the big companies that got their first will always be first

Any experiences on Etsy and how to generate some sales/visibility is much appreciated

Thank you!

The best thing you can do is buy RT's for the listing... this gives the listing an enormous amount of views and moves the listing up in their rankings. I sell a service that has 400 positive reviews and works like a dream for Etsy listings

  • Make sure you listings are optimized with lots of good key words, your have professional looking photos that are well-lit, and maybe consider buying some ad space (first 2-3 listings that show up on an Etsy search are paid search). Well, according to my point of view, you need to go with SEO and SEM strategies, if you are looking a great profit in your business. Because, SEO and SEM are the two strategies, which generate the huge traffic on a particular website.

Another thing you need to try and do is have 100 listings. This then changes the game for you. Also, re-list your products whether you have sold any or not.
Doing just those two things made a big, big difference to us.

One more thing to note is that Etsy have recently changed their algo, which now means when somebody searches for an item the search results show different sellers as opposed to potentially the one big seller that used to show up before.

    Good luck.

      Check out SellerActive.com

They are integrated with multiple sites including Etsy. They simultaneously re-price your inventory across a number of marketplaces. They currently market having the fastest re-pricing tools on the web, no contracts, and a great support staff. It's worth a call.

      Cheers!
