What is the best way to find a quality item and also an in demand product that will sell quickly? How can you verify these things out of all the different products? How can you make sure you are not ripped off by the merchant?

Use GOLD merchants and ones with On-site inspections... and ONLY if they take Paypal

Buy a sample and check for yourself or go the some nearby shops to test the product. Gold members are also scammers on Alibaba.
Also there are certified companies if you make a deep search for such products. I tried for timers to sell them locally.
