Proposing free delivery service without risking too much

I'm finishing to create a shop in the decoration field via shopify (Carpets). We are a small business based in France and we will target the french market.

We'd like to propose free delivery for our customers but in the same time we would not like to loose or risk money.

How e-commerce pro used to do for proposing attractive delivery condition without risking much ? Is there some interesting packages/ ads deal partnerships that can lower the delivery cost?

    Well, there are so many eCommerce platforms available, who provides free shipping service. They don't take any extra charges from their customers. The all the charges are taken by only courier services, the firm only have tie up with different courier services.

    You can read this one of the incubators we work with were consultants for Renault so they know how it works over there. Let us know once you understood the pros/cons of free shipping, it's a little different for carpets as it's a big ticket item.

    I say you should go as top ecommerce website's strategies where they provide free shipping on above good price like 500INR so you should decide one price and above that price you should allow free delivery,there would not be any risk or money loosing.
