    Good
    - Easy to use, for starters
    - Easy to manage, as in order processing, products upload etc.

    Bad
    - Expensive
    - You are stuck with them, with no room to upgrade

    Shopify is good that it provides exactly what users want and the best thing is that the flexibility of this ecommerce platform is the best among the worlds other ecommerce providers but when it comes for support,I feel they are little late so that I too moved NationKart for better support.

    Well, according to me, Shopify is a good one. Because, it provides me a theme store where I can see a bunch of premium themes. These themes are very lucrative and eye catching. I have chosen a theme of this theme store as per my business needs.

    I work for a third party inventory management tool and don't use Shopify personally, but we do integrate with them. What I gather from our customers is that they are intuitive, easy to use, have great themes and pretty simple customization.They also have a pretty extensive app store if you want add-on's for your store. Definitely worth a look, in my opinion!

      Shopify is great for specific needs.

      Niche related stores without a huge category and sub-category system
      Easy to set up products (single page)
      Relatively easy product variants
      Easy to update and customize look and feel
      No customer group functionality out of the box

      Shopify for me is either (IMO) for simpler sites or very complicated sites where you can have a developer do fun things.

      Mid size stores with a large category and sub-category structure, I think BigCommerce is a better fit.

      Easy to build categories 3 - 5 deep (if you really want to)
      Out of the box has more functionality than Shopify
      Strong third party app ecosystem, second to Shopify

      Harder to customize look and feel but it is getting better.

      Neither cart provides subscription functionality except through third party applications.

      Either way, it is really hard for us to say if it is a good cart unless we (and especially you) know what you need.

      All the carts start pricing out between 20 and 30 a month and pricing goes up based on need (for example, abandoned cart). But you really do get a lot for that money. Strong servers, Content Delivery network, PCI-DSS compliance and someone handling all the patches which allows you to do what you are supposed to, get out there and market.

    @Black Woods what do you mean by upgrade? They have upgrade plans, Basic, Profassional and Unlimited.

    It is an easy way to set up a simple shop. I own multiple online store and have just started using Shopify for one of my new store to see how it works, and I have enjoyed it so far. It automatically processes credit cards for you and it even has an app where you can sell to customer in person and run the credit card on a mobile device.

    Take a look at it, very easy to use.

    I actually love shopify. I had an issue this past two weeks with NO sales coming in and figured it out it was my fault haha BUT any time I call their help line they never make me feel stupid and even though my business has a super unique model, they found ways each time without expensive apps for me to be bale to process orders.

      What level store were you operating? I find the professional level is something that most stores don't need to use. Is this something that you utilized?

    All the SaaS tools plus WooCommerce are time based, meaning your growth is directly proportionate to your number of staff. The more advanced platforms are Magento and then the enterprise tools costing $100,000s so you can do more with less staff. If you want a niche site or use it as a launch platform it's pretty good, if you want an international store with 10,000s of products you need automation and it's pretty poor, it's possible but you'll be managing people who run the ops so growth is very slow.

    Love Shopify. Easy to use, great 3rd party support, and they are quick to respond to problems and concerns. The most important part when starting is getting the products online and being able to accept money without tinkering or trying to figure out all the backend stuff - and they've helped me done just that.

    I've been using Shopify for two years now and have three of my dropshipping stores on it:

    Pros:
    Great Themes, Easy to Setup
    Great Support and Updates
    Easy to keep track of orders
    Good Apps

    Cons:
    Limited product options for drop downs
    Not cheap (I used a 20% off link in my resources page)

    Overall, it's just the cost of doing business. I make so much from my shopify stores that I don't mind paying them $79 a month.
