When you return something that you've bought online you usually get an RA (return authorization) number from the business. How does this work? Does the software that comes with the platform issue it automatically, or do you have to manually create and keep track of the RA number yourself? I'm considering using either Shopify or BigCommerce. Thanks.

I just make up RA numbers honestly. Don't really use them since opencart tracks returns by customer name which is a lot easier to me.

BigCommerce has an integrated RA authorization system in place. Shopify does not but I think you can add it in via App.

Well, RMA or RA, is reverting back or recycling procedure by which you can return your product in an easy manner. Basically, this number is used in rare cases, when both vendors as well as supplier are unable to track the address.
