A great way to promote your product and increase your sale is marketing on Facebook. First of all, you'll need good photos of your product (preferably taken by a professional), and an appropriate package design. People are picky about food, and it's with a reason, so your job is to make your product look as great as you can.

You can sell food items on Amazon with the FBA business model. You do need to be a professional level seller which entails a $40 per month fee. The items need to be in retail ready packaging and you would need to have bars codes for the products and get them added to the Amazon catelog. Amazon has lots of good tutorial information about setting up an FBA business and ther seller support is very helpful.

Also do not be afraid to try ebay, it just may work for you as well.

Well, nice to see all the above comments. All of these are appreciable. But, according to my personal opinion, advertising is the best way to sell your food products. You need to pay an attention over the social media sites i.e. Facebook, Twitter, G+. These are the best ways to promote your business and you can earn huge money through this as well.

Thanks for all the output here ! Really appreciate it loads! Another thing which i'am concerned with is the shipping of products overseas as i'am residing in Singapore. Usually how does shipping a 150g product cost you if you have to ship them to another country?

IMO, I personally agree with the Amazon FBA opinions.

-No need to store inventory on your own
-No need to ship HUNDREDS of packages daily (when you reach that level)
-They even have an option to label all your products for you (for a small fee)

Plus, people LOVE Amazon and repeat customers are a HUGE possibility with perishable items like food.

Definitely get a Professional account as one Warrior member suggested. It puts you right in the main box (Buyers Box) where most buyer traffic ends up. Assuming you have the best price out of other Professional sellers.

If not, buyers will have to click a link or two just to see your 'listing.'
