Hi,

We are building a new solution for dropshipping management.

We'd like to include a real-time inventory and product updates. For this reason we have to understand standard data feeds formats. Is there any standard at all? How do we understand it's the same product when it comes from multiple sources? Where can we see examples of product data feeds from the most influencing suppliers/networks?

Thanks a lot for your help.

You will need to use a standard product identifier such as a UPC or and EAN that will be unique to the product. ISBN and GTIN are also some good product identifiers. You should have a look at Google product data feed to understand how they created a standard format for uploading products.
