Pretty sure it's been a few months now since I decided I wanted to find a supplier in China and just sample a few things. But I can't seem the find the "perfect" thing. I would love to have have something and know that all I have to do is just do my best to find a good supplier for that product. But I just don't know how to do it.

My criteria is just a small, lightweight to medium weight product that sells for $50-$500 a piece. I was thiking something to do with car parts but that market is just so huge, could you make something like filters or pistons or turbos work? How can I start? Thanks.

You should probably do some market Research before ordering anything. A good way should be to explore Amazon top 100 product category wise. This will help you in making the right decision.

Yes do your research on Amazon first, look at the BSR ranking before you even consider looking at alibaba. Look at the top 500 even within each category. Make a list of 20 product opportunities, pick 3 you like the most and then go about contacting suppliers for one. If the numbers work out you've got a winner.

If you are new to FBA, remember to start small. things that can be sold for at lest 20$ would be better

and remember to look for low competition. Starting a business is not easy at the beginning, you will get

bumps along the way but that's how you tweet things around. look on you tube, i am sure there will be

someone who had been there. look for successful entrepreneur and not beginners!

Yes, excellent advice here. If you are looking to run an FBA business you should set it up and start running it on a small scale. Get your feet wet and learn, as there is a fair ampount to learn. The "perfect" product that you seek can wait a bit. If you are already running your FBA business when you decide on a product to import you will be better off as you will know a lot of the ins and outs of the business.

Also - as mentioned above auto parts are a restricted category so that is no even a place to consider starting with.
