Which platform for my needs? So much hesitation.
Hey guys and gals, I got this new project for some expensive tools.
I will offer only about 6 to 8 possibilities, all of the same family, just different sizes. These are worth a couple thousands each so I need something very clean and professionnal.
Here are the options I was considering. I need something simple, dont need to handle hundreds of products.
1- Shopify : User friendly but what about the seo? I've used it in the past and was not impressed at all. I love how easy it is to use but if I have to build links like crazy to get some google love this will be a pain for me. Also they ask for a % of the sales, this is gonna cost alot in the long run if the lowest tool price is around 4000$. I can live with that as long as the sales are good but still.. also I might have to pay for some plugins.. This can add up fast.
2-WooCommerce : I have had good succes with SEO using wordpress on many projects (no ecommerce, local business marketing only) but have no idea which theme to use with wooCommerce. Does it matter? Is the plugin self sufficient? I've played a bit with it yesterday and was left confused. Any plugins I absolutly need to get? Ive read in this forum the cost for a wootheme website is around 3000$ ? Am I missing something? Expensive plugins? You pay someone to do it for you? For 3000$ Im better off with Shopify? Also security might be lacking a bit. Any crash course you would recommend? WSO?
3-BigCommmerce : Tried it for some other projects, seemed nice but what about the SEO? Havent tried it for a year so have no idea what they are up to now.
All in all, what I need is something that will look professionnal enough for people to sink in 4'000$-10'000$ on one item.I dont want it to look like an affiliate website, more like the supplier itself because I will become is main anchor for international sales. I aim to sell in Canada and US. Supplier is in Canada. I will dropship
Would you recommend me someone ? Any course?
