Reselling Wholesale Products Question!

Hello Warriors,

I was interested in reselling wholesale products through channels such as Ebay or Amazon (and possibly an ecommerce store in the future), but had a quick question.

Would it make any sense for me to deliver the products to the customers with the packaging from the wholesalers? So basically I wouldn't repackage the products, and I'd be like somewhat of a distributor.

Is this a valid model? Or will customers just side step me and look for the wholesalers directly?

    It depends on the products you want to sell, honestly.
    Low ticket products (gadget like) should be fine to redistribute without repackaging.
    Ebay has really cracked down on this type of practice though, so be careful

    It also depends on how it is packaged and the type of wholesaler. If it is packaged with a website address for the wholesaler and they also sell retail direct to consumers, I would repackage to remove that address.

    If the wholesaler only sells wholesale and doesn't sell retail at all, it really wouldn't matter much, though you may way to repackage to include your url instead of theirs.

    I dont think packaging would be a big problem unless your website is not on the package.
