Drop shipping from China - confusion

I am finding through all my contacting to manufacturers in China, that when I ask for drop shipping they say "oh yes, not a problem..we will drop ship for you.." Then when I continue conversation with them about what I'm looking for, etc... they don't actually KNOW what drop shipping is.

For example:

"As to drop shipping,
pls confirm if you need us to deliver these goods to your company or warehouse? After you confirm the order, then we'll check the corresponding price. "

Or

"It's no problem for dropshipping for all product Just if you have a few customers in Canada, then we can ship all to you and then you ship to them, which can save some freight."

Anyone else finding this miscommunication problem? What is the best way to go about explaining to them what I mean? That I don't want to do a MOQ order and have them ship it after, I want to drop ship.

If the finer points of speaking in English are being lost, perhaps you should find yourself a Mandarin-speaking translator and communicate with them in their native tongue?

I am from China, and have been working as an international sales person for almost 10 years. My experiences tell me that, they do understand what you mean, they just don't want to do dropshipping, they just try to see that if they can persuade you to do MOQ order.

What products are you looking for? If you want to do drop shipping, they perhaps only those B2C companies can help you.

Thanks for the response! I thought that might be the case as well. Have heard and read here that they will often say "oh yes no problem" then when time comes to do business they say otherwise.

You are unlikely to ever get dropshipping from a serious manufacturer in China. I"m not saying it's impossible, just unlikely. They're manufacturers, you're looking for a dropshipper. The two have different systems and processes.

      Good luck with your venture.
Thanks for the info, I figured as much..have been searching a few months now. I have been communicating with a manufacturer just today and it sounds positive. They communicate well and know what I'm asking, and even specifically noted for my reference that the MOQ is 1. They are the manufacturer (not a supplier), their site has an audit check, and they are sending me photos to use on my site.

Sounds legit?? (I am of course still researching it.. I have searched their exact products on other sites who have it marked much higher than them..so assuming they are indeed the manufacturer and not a wholesaler.)

      Any other tips? Much appreciated!

I dropship larger products from China, and the process has been smooth from day one.

I am not saying my experience is typical, but it most certainly is possible.

Why don't you try to find an online site where there are good deals on many products, and use these sites for you business, a bunch of them offer drop shipping as a possibility.

Have thought about that and only places I have found are clothing sites which a) are a dime a dozen, I wouldn't do well profit wise b) margin would be pretty low
