Question for FBA sellers.....?

I have heard of AliExpress but I never spent anytime on their site. Recently while seeking an online source for a specific product that came up immediate after a google search. I am guessing they are related to Alibaba.

Any FBA sellers with experience sourcing from them? Are they reliable? Good quality products in retail packaging?

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

I've never used AliExpress but have coached new ASMers who have go onto use the service (usually temporarily).

Yes they are connected to Alibaba. In relation to Alibaba, you will find that you can often order smaller quantities of product on AliExpress but they will also be more expensive per unit too.

On AliExpress there appears to be more retailers re-selling onwards (which accounts for smaller order size but increased prices).

So far i've not heard of any problems amongst those i've coached inside ASM, but obviously you need to do your usual due diligence, as i'm sure you will do as an experienced seller.

Hope this helps a bit. Good luck with your ventures.

Aliexpress is a retail site operated by Alibaba. It has a very bad online reputation. You can check them out on Ripoffreport.com or https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.aliexpress.com or www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.aliexpress.com

On both sites there are well over 1,000 reviews and on each site they score less than 2 stars.

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I have read previously your reviews about Alibaba so I sort of expected that AliExpress would be a similar situation. From my visit to their site I was not impressed by what I found and nothing appealed to me and I did not get a sense of confidence about them.

I appreciate the warning and plan to stay clear of them. Thanks!

It means Fulfillment By Amazon. Under that system, sellers send inventory to Amazon's warehouse, Amazon keep it there until a sale takes place on the seller's account with Amazon.

Amazon then pack and ship the item on behalf of the seller, and payment for the order goes to the seller's account. Amazon charge a fee for this service.

I have taught hundreds of people how to make small orders with genuine manufacturers and they don't have to take the risk of dealing with suppliers on Alibaba or Aliexpress.

There are B2B sites where you don't have to keep looking over your shoulder for fear of being scammed.

I don't publish them online for good reasons. See my thread: If your secret B2B portals are so safe why don't you share?
