My eCommerce site opinions

I have taken inspiration from Yaros thread regarding dropshipping from Aliexpress.

I set up this site last week & have done some small advertising via Facebook. I haven't had a sale yet but it is early days. The only payment method I have implemented is paypal.

What I noticed via fan pages on Facebook is that many anime fans are from Latin America. Has anyone here implemented a spanish/english eCommerce solution with WordPress? If so can you recommend the best method?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your help. I will try PPC in the future. Right now I want to build up a social audience. I have already started SEO on this site, however I need to create a lot more quality back-links.

I got my first sale last night via Facebook from Mexico!! So happy. I need to expand product selection now.

I still need to look into getting a Spanish side to my site completed in the near future.

No I have built a dropshipping store using Aliexpress as the supplier. Customers can complete and pay for orders through my site. I then place the order on Aliexpress to their address. I also get the affiliate commission as I pay for the item using my affiliate link. If your interested in this businesses model I would suggest following Yaros's thread. Its awesome.

          Hi Eminorgon

I have spent too much on advertising. I think to date around $170AUD. I wanted to test all different ad types to see which would give me the best CTR and also get page likes. I see page likes as free future advertising so that is what I am focused on. I have only had 3 sales so far and only in one category which has surprised me.

My website is here if you want to take a look and give me some constructive feedback: Store

So for anyone that is interested here is a timeline of Facebook activities:

          1. Created page, added video and advertised it. Got a great Cost per post Engagement of $0.001. However the video only got 27 likes. So I think Facebook count the autoplay feature as an engagement. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Total Cost per post Engagement: $0.001
          Total post likes: 27
          Total page likes: 12
          Total Spent: $4.77

          2. Create Post Promotions on a few items from different categories. I just grabbed the picture(s) of the products from the website and added them to a post with an interesting question and link to buy.

Post #1 opening sale (model weapon set):
Total Cost per post Engagement: $0.02

          Total Spent: $19.82

Post #5 Who's your favourite character? (added set of 6 action figures of a different show)
Total Cost per post Engagement: $0.01
          Total post likes: 289
          Total Shares: 5
          Total page likes: 20
          Total Spent: $8.00

Total Cost per post Engagement: $0.01
          Total post likes: 69
          Total Shares: 1
          Total page likes: 17
          Total Spent: $5.18

          Total page likes: 15
          Total Spent: $13.30
(I have sold tshirts before and I really wasn't happy with this one so I stopped it early)

Post #8 Cosplay Ring Set (added that it was our best seller)
Total Cost per post Engagement: $0.10
          Total post likes: 126
          Total Shares: 4
          Total page likes: 25
          Total Spent: $10.00

          3. Started using Carousel Promotions. These are a lot more effective for direct CTR to website. I have done two of these and it is where my 3 sales have come from.

Carousel #1 (One category. Five pictures in carousel). I disclosed the price of each item in the carousel and free shipping.
Total Cost per Website Click: $0.10
          Total post likes: 79
          Total Shares: 7
          Total page likes: -
          Total Link Clicks: 378
          Total Spent: $38.82

Carousel #2 (One category. Five pictures in carousel). I disclosed the price of each item in the carousel and free shipping.
Total Cost per Website Click: $0.08
          Total post likes: 17
          Total Shares: -
          Total page likes: 1
          Total Link Clicks: 119
          Total Spent: $10.00

I have altered the images in Photoshop as the above carousels were running, adding typography (free shipping & sale now on). Only ran them on desktop not mobile.

          4. Started running a competition to give away an action figure. Users must like my page and say "I love **(tv show)** in the comments". This competition ends Sunday
Total Cost per post Engagement: $0.02
          Total post likes: 699
          Total Shares: 8
          Total page likes: 19!!!
          Total Spent: $20.61

Maybe my competition is confusing people. They are liking the post but not the page. If you visit my Facebook page you can see it for yourself. Anyone got an idea on this one? I was expecting a competition to have a lot more of an impact.

I have probably left out some other promos I have done. My conversion rate is not good at all for the amount of traffic I have sent to the site. I have tried targeting different countries etc. but to no avail.

My site must be turning people off. I am maybe thinking of moving to the Shopify platform. Can anyone provide feedback for my site?

        Hi Eminorgon

        Thanks for the feedback.

Yes Facebook ads have brought all sales so far. However it has not produced a great ROI so far. My ad expenditure is far higher than total sales.

For the layout I am using TheShop Wordpress theme.
