Not enough info. Everything needs to be taken care of from choosing the platform, choosing the niche and products, getting traffic, etc. Do you have a specific question? Have you already chosen platform, niche and products?

    Sell on amazon too.

The majority of ecommerce site owners who also sell on amazon find that their amazon sales are usually much larger than their site sales.

    Good luck with your venture.

You did not mention what your products are but Zany's advice may be very helpful.

If you are selling physical products that can be sold on Amazon you should consider their FBA program. You get huge amounts of buyer traffic and great customer support by listing some of your inventory on their site. Most likely the sales on Amazon will dwarf the sales on your own site.

      Magento is good.

      So is Opencart.

      And Woocommerce.

Likewise Shopify and other ecommerce solutions.

The platform is not as important as the content and your ability to market the content.

Also it is vital to get all the components together to make something successful.

Linking Adwords, analytics, webmaster tools , payment processors and building a reliable supply chain is also important.

There are advantages of choosing one of the big open source solutions and that is usually there are many people using them and plenty of extensions to customise things to your situation.

Would be nice if the OP could respond to the advice an posts of people.

Nothing like asking for help and then not engaging with the people responding.

    Hi Bro,
I like the way you are thinking. Today due to the high innovations in internet and technology, guys have moved to online interactions due to the very many benefits enjoyed. It is therefore good to take up the opportunity and maximize on it. However, you need to do some intense research work so that you stand the market trends and be able to establish the niche which is not or less exploited today. This will make your business stand out and make lots of profits. Please avoid stocking in areas that are already crowded. Be innovative and invest wisely,
    cheers.

Try to make user-friendly not to create search engine friendly. Magento and some platforms are available online to make new website. I want to share my thoughts, if you have good ecommerce website and can have reached globally well. If you are not following below, you may loss your business. Customer Management, Contact Management, Product Management, Shipping Management, Employee Management. These are very much important to all business. Better try to use CRM software and integrate your website. If you integrate, you can track all with one apps. I also run small ecommerce site and using Apptivo CRM above method. My business is growing and stable. If you are new to business, it assist you. This is applicable for all business. Customer DB is very important to anyother business.

You must select niche first according to the market & then choose the perfect e commerce platform to build an online store for your business. And last but not the least you must implement seo or search engine optimization to increase the searchability of your website in search engine.
