I'd say none other than verbiage.

When you have something to sell online you need someone to process payments if you want to process credit cards.

Most shopping carts integrate with a variety of payment processors and it is up to the merchant to decide the best processor or processors for their situation.

My businesses are primarily located in Australia so I use two processors for most of our online transactions. Paypal and Eway.

Now I use several other solutions to process payments both for local and International sales and there are a host of providers that get used depending on situations. Stripe, Authorize.Net, Clickbank, Gumroad to name a few.

It will depend on what your customers are most comfortable with and your choice may depend.on several factors like "rates" "convenience" whether or not you have SSL etc.

Personally I've found it is good to offer more than one option for your customers to pay.

I have read that stripe integrates better with your website and customers do not have to leave to go to paypal.

Have you split tested offers with stripe vs paypal?

Both seems to be the same i guess.payment Portal or gateway instance paypal, stripe through which user can do transactions for their orders. Secured method of payment takes place on integrating a specific payment gateway to a ecommerce website.

Main different between Payment Gateway and Payment Aggregators.

A Payment Gateway (PG) is an eCommerce application service provider that allows you to accept online payments on your online store. When you want to integrate a PG to your store, you have many options to choose from. In India, you can choose from options like PayU, PayUMoney (previously known as PayUPaisa), CCAvenue, EBS, DirecPay and a few others. These PGs charge you the following 3 prices: Setup fees, Annual Maintenance Charges and most importantly the TDRs.

Now, lets move to the Payment Aggregators. These are companies that have a lot of clients or partners, who apply for a PG through them. Since these aggregators have lots of partners applying for PGs, they get TDRs at very low rates. In a few cases, the Setup fees is also reduced a lot. This is because these aggregators can guarantee a lot of transactions to the PGs.

I am selling CBD/hemp products. Stripe and Paypal closed the merchant accounts I set up. Can anyone suggest a company that would process charge card for this product?
