Hello,

I'm trying to do my due diligence in finding a profitable niche. I know that ecommerce words generally need to be avoided for niche sites but how does that apply to someone starting a niche ecommerce site?

So, here is the stats of the niche I'm thinking about according to KWfinder:

Exact Match CPC PPC Overall SEO difficulty
4,400 $1.41 100.0 5.0

TOP 10 results:

Google SERP PR TF CF IP FB TW G+
1 http://www.amazon n/a 0 0 3 3 0 0 -> LINK TO A DEAD PAGE!
2 Macy's - Shop Fashion Clothing & Accessories - Official Site - Macys.com 0 0 13 1 0 0 0
3 Target : Expect More. Pay Less. n/a 12 17 6 60 0 1
4 Pajamas & Kids Clothing Online | Hatley n/a 0 15 4 8 0 0
5 Sears - Online & In-Store Shopping: Appliances, Clothing & More n/a 0 0 3 0 0 0
6 Kohl's | Shop Clothing, Shoes, Home, Kitchen, Bedding, Toys & More n/a 0 15 3 1 0 0
7 http://www.burlingtoncoatfactory.compx n/a 0 0 3 0
8 DICK'S Sporting Goods - Official Site - Every Season Starts at DICK'S n/a 8 16 5 0
9 Online Shoes, Clothing, Free Shipping and Returns| Zappos.com n/a 0 0 3 0 0 0
10 Home | Gap 0 15 2 0 0 0

So, a really difficult line up to beat with regards to page authority but none of the results specialise. The overall SEO difficulty is as low as it gets for a keyword with this many searches.

+ Additionally this is niche with a particular target audience. I think its possible to create a good looking brand that appeals.
+ Suppliers should be easy enough to source

- Its not really a niche that really needs to have its audience educated and I don't know if there is much to do here.

So, I'm sort of torn on this. Any suggestions?

Would anyone think it worth pulling the trigger on something like this?

Is it possible for someone with a limited amount of time and average knowledge to do something here?

Thanks

Kind Regards
