Buying products on Ebay and sending direct to customers?

Hi,

I know of several top marketers doing this right now.

They advertise a product (not their own) and once a customer buys it, they'll purchase the product and get it sent directly to the customer - obviously keeping the profit they made by selling at a higher cost than the original Ebay seller.

How do they do this? If you buy through Ebay, they only allow you to ship to a few addresses don't they? How do they manage to ship to thousands of different addresses?

I know wholesale is a much better route to take, but how are they doing this??

Cheers,
Michelle

I doubt that they are making anything more than chump change. Those types of tactics are bottom of the barrel methods. Same goes for buying on Amazon and selling on ebay/vice versa.

Get a business license, become a legitimate business and generate your own income.

  • many Ebay sellers allow customers to ship to a few addresses.
they dont limit customers to order from they otherwise their customers account are not safe.
by the way,if customers ship to thousands of different addresses.in usual ,they will find stable dropshipper to process their business.one point is price ,the other may is overwork by ordering from ebay.
    hope it can help u.

I do it a bit differently. I buy items on ebay, when I can get them at the right price. I then send them into my FBA inventory. I have learned that some items are sold so low on ebay that the profit margin can very good.

If you found it on ebay the consumer can as well. I for one will buy nothing without checking every online markeplace for the cheapest price.

Yes I am the same type of consumer as your are. But with most consumers are not. They will not take the time to look all over. Instead they will go to Amazon, find the product, click on the buy box and make the purchase. There is a reason that about 85% of Amazon purchases go to the owner of the buy box.

It is true that with many consumer purchases the best price is not the only factor. Things like convenience, shipping cost, consumer confidence, previous purchase experiences, etc all come into play.

I can't understand the level of time consuming research and effort people put into this type of thing. Arbitrage on or offline is fine for a lark for Q4 if you really must but other than that you're just a rat on a wheel.

Buy and reselling items you have in your possession is your best bet. I have been burned too many times by dropshippers and wholesalers. Keeping up your seller metrics and feedback will give you far better returns in the long run. Just one late shipment by a drop-shipper that you don't have any experience with can ruin your business.

This looks interesting. Would anyone recommend buying from Amazon and selling on eBay or vice versa?

I mentioned this in a post above. I regularly buy certain items on ebay, and then send them into my FBA inventory to sell on Amazon. If you target the right products you will find that they regularly are available on ebay at pretty low prices.

I do this every week. The only problem is that usually (not always) the ebay purchase is just for one single item so the total dollar amounts are not real big but the margin can be very good.

Buying from Amazon and selling on Ebay is a great way to get some income started if you are strapped for cash and need some operating income. You do need the right tools to make it work though. You cannot not just get images from Amazon and post it on Ebay to sell at a higher price. If drop shipping was that simple then everyone else would be doing it. However making an easy $500 to $5000 a month is possible but it takes training and a system. There is a lot more to building a EBay listing than copying and pasting descriptions from Amazon and pasting over to Ebay. Also basic selling concepts need to be implemented as well like call to action and creating a sense of urgency. This business will open doors for you at the very least. I learned one thing tough that chasing the “Money for Nothing" is a bunch of B.S. A real business takes investment but dropping shipping from Amazon is dirt cheap to start and can get you some operating income to do bigger things. Selling physical products is a real business and as old as dirt. If you cannot provide value by creating useful content then the next best thing is to sell physical products.
