Some of you might ask, why I choose to do e-commerce over info products as affiliate marketing despite the commissions being lower and longer time to receive those commission.

I give you 3 reasons.

1. Physical products - as compared to info products say an ebook, video course and multiple upsells/downsells - have a much higher perceived value since they are things that people like you and me buy everyday but at cheaper prices.

2. When shopping online say at Amazon, Alibaba or even Shopify, people don't just buy 1 or 2 items. They bought multiple items from 1-2 or more categories the same way say women go shopping offline.

Most importantly, they bought many things willingly as compared to being presented to dozens of upsells/downsells of typical sales funnel which they might or might not want to take up.

3. The more you sell, the higher your commissions will be naturally. Amazon pays 4% for a start while Alibaba or AliExpress - as its affiliate network is called - pays 8%.

I cannot comment on Shopify as I have not started doing it but might in near future since I read and received many emails from various marketers doing it and earning thousands per day.

In time to come, instead of building multiple mini-sites under different domains, I will build multiple mini-sites under different categories WITHIN the same domain.

Not only it helps me to save costs, it also helps to save time in maintaining just 1 site as in adding new content and products while doing away with those products that are no longer available.

I will also design a landing page whereby everyone subscribes will receive a 12-month free PDF magazine style catalogue of current and new products as well as special discounts and deals from the site.

They will also receive free FB page, Google Plus, Pinterest, Twitter and Youtube updates from time to time.

My goal is to create my own virtual CK Tang, JEM, Takashimaya, Wisma Atria, Westgate and even the now defunct Yaohan.

Those names might not sound familiar to those living outside Singapore but very familiar to fellow S'poreans like me.

A one-stop interactive shopping hub even though it is an affiliate site run by me promoting other people's products and services as affiliate.

Learn this powerful tactic from my compatriot Ewen Chia at his internet business in my country S'pore last August and Japanese-based internet marketer who are now taking their online businesses to the next level.
