I'd to start selling graphic t-shirts on ebay and my blog. I've been following popular items that sell on ebay and would like to find them to sell as well.

I can't seem to find a wholesaler that have the exact items
Shut UP AND Squat Women Workout Tank TOP T Shirt GYM Clothes Fitness Yoga Lift | eBay

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to find a wholesaler or should I try to print the same logo?

It depends on the items that you are selling YOu dont need a whole saler you need a fullfillment agency to do the printing job for you !!!

My target market is females who are into gym graphic tees. They would be 18 to 35 is my guess.

I'd like atheltic type of of tank tops & tshirts, with quotes like the one I liked above. Those shirt sell for 15 to 20 USA dollars. I'm fine with selling 1 shirt a day really. Or 100 a week. I need to start somewhere. Right now I need a quality supplier so I can enter the market.

Any suggestions on a supplier or refrence??

The shut up and squat t-shirts are custom made by the seller. As far as I'm aware the term is from a Ronnie Coleman movie so its not a brand so too speak. The seller in question probably has their own t-shirt printing business, much like you see these sort of businesses in touristy areas like Jersey Shore.

So should I buy tshirt in bulk and have them printed? Or have the supplier print them for me?

Also would using an American wholesalers be much better than an asian one, in terms of correct sizing?

I think to get more things to be done you can go with teespring or scalable press and develop your own software or your brand it depends on the budget you have ...

        Hey Rhoda,

I don't post very much on this forum because usually people on here know a lot more then me about most of these topics haha but warrior forum has helped me for years. Internet marketing didn't work out for me but it did lead me to where I'm today and that is selling Custom T shirts, Cell Cases etc.

The thing about that tank top, is It is selling really well. Here's the bad news though I terapeak them for you and they've sold 76 in 30 days. Which isn't bad don't get me wrong but I'm really confused on how they're making any money. They're selling for $12.99 with free shipping. If I guessed I say that the tank top is at least minimum $4.50 Blank. They claim It's american made if so it might be american apparel and theirs wouldn't be $4.50 more like $6.50-$7 per tank. Then on top of that if they're screen printing they're probably using .20-.30 of ink which isn't bad. If they're using a DTG probably closer to .40 a print.

Here's my point. They're selling so cheap and that's the problem with eBay. Shipping just went up a lot on Jan 18th. That Tank probably weighs at least 5oz which is $2.60 to ship.

        So

        $2.60 (Shipping)
        $5.00 (Tank) I think it's probably more.
        $2.00 ( Roughly in ebay/Paypal Fees)

All I'm saying is please don't go buy a bunch of shirts from a manufacture.I'm not saying that to discourage you, I'm saying that because I currently have 300-400 different designs And I offer hoodies plus size and long sleeve etc and I'm barely breaking 4-5 sales a day on ebay and I sell my shirts for $9.99. ( The reason why I came to the warrior forum tonight was to look for marketing ideas for my eCommerce website,) That's where the money is at in the printing world. Ebay is over flooded. Your better off starting small and trying to create your own customs shirts, because what you'll pay a screen printer for the shirts you could start your own little gig making shirts.

Please don't take this as a discouragement. That's not what I want to do but I look at that tank and say I couldn't even barely compete with them and I can make them at cost.

My advise I want to get across is don't try to buy the tanks and compete with someone who is making them themselves. If your interested in selling shirts look into getting some equipment and it gives you A LOT more options. You can create and list designs for free and make everything after it's been ordered. I started my T shirt company with about $2200 and you could probably do it even cheaper. Look into Vinyl and Heat transfers for starters and work your way up.

If you need any help I'm more than willing.

        - Travis

Unless you already have a BRAND, I don't see your t-shirts being a big sell in an already over-saturated market. Exceptions would be stocking them at a fitness center or other physical location, but internet selling of t-shirts is not very profitable without an established brand.

I plan on mimic others designs and slapping them on my shirts. They aren't copyrighted so its should be ok.

Well i like the t-shirts and the model looks great . I think that if you can find blank t-shirts you can print on for a price you will have a profit and find somewhere or someone who can print the design for you and you will have a nice profit margin you do not need a wholesaler. i managed to find few sellers on aliexpress selling the same t-shirts with prices suitable to make some profit. The down side to this is the shipping time, your buyers would have to wait from 39 to 60 days to get their t-shirt with free shipping. The other shipping methods are too expensive and it is not good to be offered to your customers.

Thank you. The problem with aliexpress shirts is that their sizing, is too small for American sizes. And yes I'm looking at buying a wholesale blank tank top and print on them. I've deisgn from spreadshirt that I will use.

My issue is that I'm from canada. And my main market is usa. So at the end, I would like to sell each tank for 21.99 tops and profit 50% on my site.

    Hey Rhoda1990.

I think that starting to sell them on ebay for brand awareness would be a good strategy and then sell them on your own blog for better profits!!

And talking about your blog... What is your blog all about?
