Fulfillment By Amazon

Hello Warriors,

I have been here for quite some time now and it seems no one tries to answer my questions or help me achieve my goals of having a source of earning online. I have tried most methods discussed on this forum; from creating micro niche sites, buying articles to put on my MN sites, etc, and yet no breakthrough.

Maybe I am not doing the right things....but I know I have spent a lot more than some others making money online...I am not that greedy for now...I just want to make some decent income to sustain myself and to help me kick start my newfound offline business.

Please guys, I need your assistance now....I just finished reading every single info on fulfillment by amazon also known as FBA, and unfortunately, I am not based in the US....I live in one of the countries that are not allowed to sell on Amazon...too bad.

But then, I have been able to partner with my cousin who lives in Texas to help provide all the necessary contact and payment info needed to sell on amazon...and we are ready to kick start, but below are the challenges I am facing now:

How do I get the approval to sell the items listed on Amazon as "Categories and Products Requiring Approval" since the item I intend to sell fall on this category, and I also feel most items one can sell profitably on the FBA fall on this category.

Please how do I go about getting the approval because I read the application details and requirements, and they are way too much....they asked for these:

1. Details about your products, including brands and quantities.
2. An estimate of your annual revenue from the products you plan to list in the category. 3. Your contact information and a description of your company.

Note: I want to buy from alibaba and resell on amazon, so I don't own a brand or company to describe to them in the product category approval application form.

Also, how do I let the wholesaler I will be buying items from at alibaba know the Amazon fulfillment center address in US to ship my items to, and how will Amazon fulfillment center know that the goods shipped to them from my Alibaba Chinese client belongs to me?

Again, I hope Amazon wouldn't mind the Chinese language which most Chinese manufacturers put on their products? Or is there a way to inform the wholesaler not to add any Chinese language on the products?

Lastly, how will Amazon fulfillment center know that I am the owner of the goods shipped to them by my Chinese partner? Thanks in anticipation of your helpful guides and responses, gracias.

You have a lot of questions, which will take some time to answer. Let's start with the first one.

I've been approved in almost every category on Amazon, so I can definitely help with this one. First, which categories are you trying to apply for? The requirements are slightly different for each one.

These are all different categories with different approval processes. You need to focus on one at a time. Games can fall under electronics or toys depending on what you mean; neither have to have approval to sell under so that should not be a worry for you.

Sportswear/clothing could be under clothing which you would apply, download a 'flat file', complete the flat file, submit, correct any errors they find there, submit for approval, and wait to hear back from their support team. Their support team will either approve you or send back the flat file highlighting all the areas you need to correct. They will not tell you exactly what to put in those areas in most cases, but will mark it on the sheet that you need to fix it before resubmitting. Correct errors, resubmit, get approved.

Watches is hit or miss; you may have to provide a flat file, but there are periods where they have open approvals and will approve anyone who applies. If you keep your eyes open on some of the FBA groups on FB, many people will post when seller support is autoapproving applications. However, sometimes this also does not work for everyone, but you can always reapply if you need to.

FBA is an expensive way to start your ecommerce journey and from what you are writing, I suggest you look into dropshipping first. get your feet when and then go spend money on FBA. also i have been on forums for ages and you get better info from paid high reviewed sources. just my two cents

it may save you a lot of time and money in the long run

Yes I also second the opinion above that Jim Cockrum's course is very good. It helped me a lot when I started out and it still does. New content is regularly added.

As for being "expensive' I could not agree with this at all. You get super low shipping rates to the Amazon warehouse, complete customer support service and more buyer traffic that any site in existence, among other features. Seems like a great deal to me.
