Need help with Importing : Mainly Importer of Record (IOR)

Just want to say hi to everyone first, just signed up a second ago and look forward to working with all of you..

Anyway..

So I am relatively up to speed with the Amazon FBA, Alibaba, Finding a product and getting it selling. The only thing holding me up is importing it direct from my supplier in China directly to Amazon FBA Warehouse.. Can someone with knowledge on the topic help?

Questions like:

Do I need an FEIN?

Can I have my supplier just put on the packaging slip on the outside that I am the IOR?

Please as much detail as possible. Thank you

  • Welcome, this is a very useful forum with a ton of good info (and some that may not be so good). You may want to use the search feature to find a lot of useful information. There is a poster here by the name of ImportExport who has a wealth of information on the topic you are asking about. Search for him and see what his many posts say.
