    It looks like a smorgasbord and not in a good way. Perhaps, consider narrowing your niches(s) and create 3 or 4+ websites instead of having everything on one site. Too much clutter. Just a thought.

        As Robert T. Kiyoaski would say, we're living in the Information Age. What this means, is that instead of having real estate, buildings, employees, equipment, etc., giving us wealth, we build wealth through information.

        This is what will help you in your business. What this means, is that rather than having all of those physical costs and dominating a geographical location, you can sell to the entire internet (or all of USA, or another country).

        But you won't be able to compete with such a large product line. What's recommended is to take one niche product, create a product line around it (3-5 products), and dominate the online market for that one niche product/product line.

        Now, it's not that easy. You have to do your due diligence and research (including wholesalers, demand and commercial intent, competition, pricing, advertising, etc.

        If you're looking for help with that, a great place to start is WorldWideBrands.com.

        The benefit to this, is that one product line does not make or break your business. If you start off dropshipping, you can take a year to give a niche product a true test (assuming you've done the proper research and business planning), and if it doesn't work, you haven't really lost anything.

        Please let me know if this was helpful to you.

            Hi, Smartechno;

            Sorry to reply multiple times. Trying to go into a price war with competitors is not only detrimental to the overall market, but to your own business as well. There are several reasons for that.

            First, as OnlineStoreHelp pointed out, you're going to be in direct competition with the big name stores. They are experts at what they do, and even if they can't afford to market every product out there online, someone will have it at a good bargain.

            It's just over saturation. This will make it nearly impossible to compete, with multiple well-known brands selling the same type of product.

            The second reason is simple. When you drive down your prices, that forces your competition to do the same, and even if they don't, quality wholesalers will not be happy with you. You're driving your own profit margins down, and doing a lot of work for relatively little pay.

            Those are the two major issues with selling to a low-income demographic and competing with the major chains. Here's how to help.

            There are millions of products out there. If you were to switch your demographic to quality products, you wouldn't have to compete on price, Instead, you'd be solving people's problems through the information that you provide to them.

            That way you can actually have good profit margins. Another benefit to that, is you can test each product line out before investing massive amounts of time, effort and money promoting them.

            Thank you for taking the time to read this!

    I have had a dropping shipping site for 3 years with no success, I have built my social media sites and blogs around this website with only a few sales. I'm at my wits end, don't mean to sound discouraging, but I'm about to take some of the advice above and move into one niche. I have put alot of hard daily work with no luck. Good Luck to you!! Too much competition..........

      In general, one can't just throw random junk items up without any rhyme or reason and expect that people will buy it. Find products or services that fill an actual need in peoples lives. It can't be done without research.

      Hi, smartechno;

      You asked about seasonality. When you're in eCommerce, a great place to start is to build a business that makes money year-round. When you're doing you're research, find a niche product that is trending upward as well.

      There are a few reasons for that. First, seasonal businesses tend to be much more difficult to compete in. Clothing, for example, changes styles and fashions so often, it can be like selling a painting to someone you know nothing about.

      Start small, and think big. A second reason why an evergreen business works well, is that businesses continue to have expenses even when you're not making sales. In fact, there are multiple reasons why business owners prefer to be paid all year round.

      An upward trend suggests future sales. Would you rather go head-first into a business only to find out that once you start making good sales, the market has lost it's interest? It would be like diving into a pool with no water in it.

      Find a reliable marketing information source. A successful eCommerce retailer business starting out drop shipping will be using both search and social marketing.

      These are not the only components to a business. For expert advice from an internet millionaire, you can attend one of Chris Malta's workshops. He will actually work with you on your web site and business goals, live.

      Also, get access to his EBiz forum. Every person who attends one of Chris's live workshops is invited to this community, where you can get in-depth knowledge in this field.

      Thank you, smartechno!

      Sincerely,

      Mark Weisse

      Drop shipping is not a bad idea. how long will you run from the competitors or the big guys in the business like WalMart, Ebay etc. My advice is that you should study this big guys, spot a gap and turn it to opportunities. Also have your own target audience.

      It is good to start with a small niche with a single product but there is noting bad if you start with multiple products and you can control the traffic.

      The most important thing is that you should not miss a step if you really want to be successful online.

      it is easy to start with 3rd party platform as recommended earlier but i prefer a starter to make use of WordPress, themes and plugin, here you can learn with your mistakes, it is cost effective and you are in control of your site.
