Hi All,

I have a new eBay account, and i am going to setup a dropshipping store. I can list 50 items, or sell $5000 a month. My question is should i start out with the store right off, or should i just list up to my limit starting out? Also should i list my items until canceled? One more question, should i just list 1 item per listing, or add 5, or 10?

Don't you mean $500 a month, not $5000? If you open a store. the limit increases to $5000 and then $10K upon review. Before spending money on a store, list products and see if have any success and go from there.

    Call Ebay first.
There are restrictions about new sellers opening stores.

Search eBay for an ebay store calculator: it will tell you whether or not it's worth it to open up a store.

When opening a store in Ebay with a new account, compared to directly selling items and lifting your account limitations, the main store benefit will be that you have a very slightly lower percentage that goes for taxes etc.

If you have a new account with high limitations that percent will not matter.

If you want to open a store and sell there, be sure to follow Ebays policies very carefully as they are very strict when it comes down to their own rules and won't hesitate to delete a new user's account.

Having said that, another thing you could do is to just sell normally on Ebay, without opening a store until you get very good reputation and lift some limitations of your account.

As someone mentioned above, not only it will be good to call Ebay, it will probably be something that you will have to do quite often.

My suggestion to you would be to not think about that too much but start selling so you get that account going for you as it often takes some time to grow it.

A neat trick I can tell you to do for getting some positive reviews (since you will need that on a new account) is to buy some 0.20$ recipes. Usually, people will give you a 5 star rating and that can help you in the begi

I highly recommend getting an ebay store, just start out with the basic option

You'll want your listings to be GTG, they'll rank better as you sell more.

Id go with 2 per listing

    Hope this helps
