Hi all

I have been running an ecommerce store for around 3 weeks now, I have been driving traffic via Bing Ads, sales are very slow indeed considering what im spending on ads?? Would love some honest reviews on the site.

I think that the site is pretty nice overall. Nice layout - very professional.

1 criticism that I could probably give you right off the bat that might be shying folks away. The first image on your slider - http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/118...ro_slide_1.jpg - it's a nice image and the young man seems friendly, trendy and inviting.

But, if I'm a dude that is interested in purchasing a wallet, I'm going to assume that your shop might not be the place for me based on the wallets in the background of that image. They're colorful and large. They look like lady's wallets.

I guess you are in the UK and honestly style may be different over there, so take that into consideration as well. But, if that's the first image that I see when I load your site after clicking on an ad, then I'm probably closing out turning around to my search results.

What is your bounce rate? What is your avg time on page for that home page?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's pretty low because of that image turning guys off to your shop.

Plus, the <title> tag in your HTML's <head> section is empty. This causes the tab in my browser, where your site is located, to simply show your favicon (which is nice btw) and then https://ilovewallets.co.uk

I would add a title to your site. It would look much nicer to have the tab titled. Something like...

    Missing information.

How much traffic are you driving? What do the ads say? Where are they landing? Where are they exiting?... and a hundred and one other questions before anybody could begin to sensibly guess at some of the ways forward.

    Good luck with your venture.

      Absolutely.

      Speed is time.

"Two weeks" doesn't tell us about the level of traffic you're running. Also, since you just started, you only have a guess about conversion rates.

unqualified leads >>> qualified leads >>> sales.

Are you throwing unqualified traffic at a wall and hoping something sticks?

Do you know when you have a qualified prospect in your funnel?

      Couple problems:

      1 > no lead capture.

You paid for this lead. They arrive, they see, they leave...never to be heard of again. Are you retargeting?

2 > no reason to buy from YOU.

Yes, nice images + lists of features. But why should they buy from you, and not someone else?

PS. Nothing wrong with the appearance of your site, besides the title in the tab; looks good.

Along with the other valuable suggestions,
    1) There is a lot of empty space you can use on the top : Screenshot by Lightshot - I have highlighted it You can add your own promos or perhaps an affiliate banner, but that is a prime spot and should not be left out.

    2) I would do a video promo also , create a channel on Youtube - optimize the video.
    3) Create a site map for the site
    4) The sliders are way too big, i personally like sliders, but you might to decrease the height perhaps by 20%. I have to scroll up and down to see the offer.
    4) Use the slider text for call to action - use individual products on the slider than the whole bunch of what you store.
    5) Capture data from visitors - people who dont buy right away, might buy some other day.
    6) Use retargeting - since you are already spending money on paid ads, it might be worthwhile to do proper retargeting
    7) I see you use shopify, i havent used it myself, but I believe wordpress would be a far better option for ecommerce for SMEs. You get to experiment with site rather than just use one LOOK.

More than happy to suggest more. Just PM me.
    All the best.

Create a more neutral site. Do not use too much color but do not stick to only black and white.

Keep it simple yet classy. Have a spot for some vlogs and testimonials.

Hi Richard! Hey your site looks pretty great! And you got 2 sales, that's a little result, but result never the less! Are those your firsts sales ever? I totally agreed with some of the other advises given here by the other warriors, I can also give you something to think about it, first- Yeah, 2 sales talks about time to check that page, like the other warriors are saying, its time to tweak and try till you see you get better results, but also, second, I would suggest you to create another approach, your site looks awesome and I really like it, but you may also want to create a "less formal" kinda blog related to the wallet's world, I'm sure there are a lot of things you can say about wallets that can call people's attention, like " the 1 million dollars wallet "(I'm sure there are a lot of wallets with diamonds on it worth it crazy money) , or " the wallet in the future " (I'm sure the wallets are not outside of the technological world), if you do this blog, you could also create a facebook page, and share those post on related "interesting facts" or "wallets" groups, also stumble upon it, share it on reddit and probably on Pinterest would work too! This could bring much more visitors, to help see if the tweaks you are doing on your store page are bringing results faster! Hope this "new approach" tip helps you, congrats for your sales and good luck!

      Hi @iBusiness

Yes they are the first two sales I have got on any Ecommerce site I have ever created so I was really please at the start. But now its starting to cost me a small fortune as the sales have stopped. I have opened up the shipping to worldwide as I have posted on reddit and I am getting a steady flow of traffic there but again no conversions, will hang in there. Thanks for the post.
