Hi All, i am reaching out on here through frustration if i am being honest.
I have a new company starting up in the UK working in wholesale fashion, we originally had a marketing company on board for a percentage ownership but they have gone bust and gone to ground, leaving us with a major problem
No money exchanged so nothing lost our end but we are now in the situation were we need to market the company and we do not have the skill sets on board to do so.
I have been searching round and talking with different people and as expected getting a whole load of conflicting advice as well as massive variations in costings.
What i would really like is for one company to handle the lot for us, everything from ongoing organic seo promotion work through to ppc campaigns and social media networking, lead generation, mail campaigns etc.
Can anyone help or at least give solid unbiased advice?
Paul

Most companies aren't using the same agency to do everything.

I'd suggest writing out a marketing plan, taking an honest look at your budget, and hiring out the specific tasks you need to get done as you are just getting started. Like it or not, someone in your business needs to have hands on experience getting your marketing up and running. That's the only way you'll know if an agency is trying to take advantage of you now or in the future. The team member who works on your marketing doesn't have to know it all, but they should learn the basics of the channels you want to market in.

After you know what channels you'd like to be active in, hire out the specific tasks to specialist. Ex: hire someone to do your email marketing, someone to do your ppc, etc. You'll be able to learn more, assess true costs for each channel, and determine what you really need going forward. A great place to find help is upwork.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

    Paul,

There are many, many firms that will do this for you - for a price, of course. I'd be surprised if you don't get some PMs with marketing companies soliciting your business.

Be aware, if you aren't already, that there is an e-Commerce sub-forum here at the Warrior Forum. There may be more folks there with experience that can help you with your questions.

Sorry I can't help you more - I've never needed the help you're asking about.

    Good luck to you,

    Steve
