So Sick and Tired of SCAMMY Aliexpress Sellers

I have been fooling around in ecommerce for a while now and just started to get some traction. But non of this started to happen until I dropped the lame free + shipping methods and sourcing products on Aliexpress that all the self-proclaimed "gurus" are teaching.

I had to step back and come up with my own techniques.

Has anyone else done the same or similar?

Check out what I generated just in the last couple months..

I don't claim to be a guru, but I have a lifetime of experience in shipping, exporting, and importing.

I teach safe sourcing and easy importing. Most of the "gurus" you refer to are marketers who might or might not have had some success (and good luck) in buying from suppliers on Alibaba and Aliexpress, so they start selling advice.

As you have found, many of them teach that the best way to succeed is to just buy from Aliexpress. In fact a lot more of them just say "Go to Alibaba."

They seem ignorant of the fact that both sites have large numbers of scammy suppliers.

Seller feedback on Aliexpress and also on Alibaba is a farce. See this thread China's Consumer Protection Watchdog Reports On Alibaba that shows how Alibaba (Owner and operator of Aliexpress) has not improved the bad practices that led to their admission a few years ago that 2236 Gold Suppliers had defrauded customers.

If anyone has questions about safe sourcing and importing, you might like to have a look at my thread: Ask Me Anything About Product Sourcing And Importing For Profit. ― Veteran Importer Here.

You can post your questions there and I will do my best to help you.

I do have my own ecom store. I am not using shopify though. I make a good amount on the site but this is a niche specific marketplace I am using, its nice because it isnt saturated. No one is talking about it yet. Its great because it caters to a higher end shopper that doesn't mind dropping some cash on their products.

It is a big mistake to buy big brand name products form any Chinese site.

It is illegal to import them and resell them. The risks are not only that Aliexpress sellers are renowned for scams, but the goods will be confiscated if Customs notice them. You can be prosecuted. At the very least your name and address will be flagged by Customs, and every shipment to you will then be delayed for thorough inspection.

      See Post #2 above.

There are exceptions to the prohibition on importing big brands, See my thread: Is There A Legal Way To Import Big Brands
