Hi,

I've been learning about sale funnels lately and I was going to set up my first website but i would appreciate any feedback on this plan before is throw away my money.

So here is my plan:
Product one: a cheap ($1) item
Product two: main offer ($25)

I would drive traffic from Facebook to a landing page with an offer to get the Product one for free (+ $3 shipping), I would build my email list here. Than once the customer orders product one and opts in I would offer them the second product.

I would also sent out a 5 day email campaign with another offer for the main product on day 6.

It all depends: your product(s), your marketing skills, your target market, etc will dictate whether or not this could work.

Unfortunately, we need a lot more information to give you a better guess. But even then, we can only guess until you test it.

My initial issue is that you have no free product(s). Getting your potential customers to go straight from Facebook to paying you on your site will be difficult and you'll likely lose money. People on Facebook are not actively shopping. Even if they're only spending $3 on shipping, it will be much harder to get their contact info than it is by offering a free product.

How can you deliver product 1, or something else of value, for free?

Focus on collecting leads, then selling to them. If you collect contact info, you can sell to your leads over and over. If you put an unnecessary barrier between you and your leads (money), you'll collect less leads and make less money long-term.

Free plus shipping should work. But you really need to know your market. I can't emphasize that enough. Niche down like 3 levels.
Right after they funnel through to that purchase upsell them on a nicer higher priced item. Most won't buy but some will.

You should focus on breaking even on the initial sale.
Since you have their email you can continue to market to them but don't bombard them with offers. Give value and a reason to engage you.
