Shipping for Less (Small ECommerce Business)
Hello, we ship approx. 100-150 packages a month via first class that usually have a max weight of around 6oz. or under. USPS recently upped the rate to $2.62 for packages from 1-8oz. While this is a small change it is still cutting into our margins.
We are primarily an Ebay and/or Amazon seller so we receive a .02 cent discount but this still brings our postage on our items to $2.60. With our volume of 100-150 packages shipped every month is there any way for us to be able to post our packages for less?
We recently became a USPS Business Customer Gateway user but we are just now beginning to dive into that monster. I wonder if learning how to use it would benefit us and ultimately gain us shipping discounts?
We'd be happy to here from anyone who has experience in the BCG and/or knows how we could possibly lower our first class small package shipping rates? (Our package dimensions are typically 4.75"w x 6"h and 1"d)
