Reliable, no fuss Shopify gateways for drop shipping

Hi Warriors,

I have heard about the strictness of payment gateways such as 2checkout, stripe and shopify payments when it comes to drop shipping. There have been horror stories with Authorize.net with this type of model. Paypal seems to be the only real option for an ecom store that is not a registered company.

However I have heard about Brain Tree. Does anyone have any experience with this one?
Please help as I am nearly launching my online store.
Thanks for your time and efforts.

Kind regards,

Len

There is no real way around this, currently there is no payment gateway actively supporting dropshipping. They either tolerate (PayPal) it or forbid it completely (Stripe). But you will always face temporary restrictions, additional security measures etc. Its the price of delivering your products all over the world "just in time".

So what actions would drop shippers take when such temporary restrictions occur? Must be difficult to keep their customers happy.

Thats why it makes sense to have two payment gateways (for example Stripe + PayPal). If you only use PayPal (which many people do though) and they limit you, you have a problem.

I'm not sure why you tell payment processors that you dropship. I've never seen anything on an application asking "Do you dropship?"

Just keep it to yourself and pick whatever payment processor you want.

Dropshipping is great as a business model.

You just have to ensure prompt delivery to avoid any chargebacks to keep your account in good standing.

As I stated before, no payment gateway supports dropshipping. Don't tell them you are dropshipping and they won't know.
