So I want to sell Nike's on Ebay. 1 US dollar = 6.86 Yuan. Anyways, does any one know how to buy Nike's or other high end products direct from China? I was thinking using Google translate and then hopefully proceeding to order direct if possible.

  • The best way to get branded real / fake is from Hong Kong or Shenzhen, make sure to bargain.

Contact Walter Hay (a.k.a. Importexport) on this forum and subscribe to his course. IF you can purchase real ones direct from the factory, he'll show you how. If you try it any other way you'll get fakes and you can brace yourself for the ensuing lawsuit.

Unless you mean replicas/fakes then I assume the best way would prooooooooooooobably be going through the actual brand(in this case Nike) and letting them give you the go from there. In this scenario you can't do it(nike doesn't allow online retailers),not to mention I think you're forgetting/don't know about ebay's vero list.

I'm assuming you're just starting out since I saw Ebay and a high end brand in the same sentence lol.Just research actual niches and you'll end up finding what you'll be better off selling so you won't screw yourself over before even getting started(you'll be amazed at how much free info you can learn by just using google and youtube).

A REALLY helpful tip is if it's market is flooded with fakes, scammer(like every high end brand is) or it's a product that can be taken apart for pieces(they'll get what they need off of it and file for a refund)then don't let it cross your brain long enough to even research it.If Amazon won't allow you to sell it without putting you through the approval process then chances are it's more than likely not worth the headache(or atleast if you're starting out).

Dave, is right be very careful about buying brands from China, major brands have teams dedicated to stop pirating / fakes. The strange thing is the money made on fakes is so huge that the major brands have found it easier to go after the little guy like you & I, rather than the factory.

Sorry to confirm what most others have been telling you. Don't even think of importing fakes or what suppliers tell you are the genuine article either.

As @Gary Chapple said, the big brand owners find it easier to go after the little guy and they sure do it! Last year one of the big brands went after a couple of hundred importers selling knockoffs of their watches.

Probably of lot of those little guys believed the lies they were told by suppliers and thought they were importing the real thing. Whether genuine or fake the result is the same. They lost their entire business. Websites shut down overnight and they are facing the cost of defending lawsuits that have the potential to bankrupt them. (There's no defence that will work.) Not to mention fines, possible imprisonment in some cases, and their name and address being flagged by Customs so that every shipment they ever import will be delayed for inspection. Even that can cost big bucks.

If you decide to take up @dave_hermansen's suggestion, you will be able to learn how to safely source legitimate products (not big brands) and build a legitimate business that can last.
