Introducing myself to eCommerce Warriors

Hello all!
I realize I might be a little late to the party but I'm new to ecommerce and am just about to launch a Shopify store dropshiping using the "Shopified" app.
I'm looking to become part of the community here, meet some new people, and gain as much knowledge as possible to become profitable in the ecommerce industry.
About me - I am an American who has been back in the US after living 5 years in Thailand. I moved there as an online poker player with a community of about 100 other poker players. It was an amazing experience. Many people from the dying poker industry have had success transitioning into affiliate marketing, eCommerce and other related industries. My girlfriend and I have decided to quit our jobs and give this a shot.
Both of us are complete eCommerce noobs but she has 10 years experience as a Social Media Manager and I have some general business and management experience. Neither of us are coders. My gf has a novice level understanding of some basic code while I know next to nothing about code and could barely recognize the difference between HTML and Java Script. It seems that won't hold us back from operating a profitable eCommerce website. I hope that is the case.
If anyone has any tips, reading material, guides, etc. that they would highly recommend for someone in our shoes just entering the eCommerce world with a Shopify store please let me know.
