I opened my e commerce 2 months ago and I really struggle to get traffic. I sell baby toys and accessories and I try to grow my followers base on IG. I used adwords for a bit but my bounce rate was really high from this traffic. I'm only getting between 2-10 visits a day and I have yet to make a sale. I don't really know what to try anymore. Any tips?

    Try SEM like Adwords and Facebook Ads.

    (Search engine marketing (SEM) is a form of Internet marketing that involves the promotion of websites by increasing their visibility in search engine results pages (SERPs) primarily through paid advertising. From WIKI)

    As I know, there is two type of product/services, "Needs" and "Interest". For Adwords really suitable for the "Needs" . FB Ads suitable for "Interest" item.

    So, is your product "Needs" or "Interest"?

    Sorry for my broken english.

    I hope this will be helpful.

    Are you targeting non-competitive keyword phrases for each page of your site? If not, I imagine ranking in the SERPs will occur sometime close to NEVER in a niche that is so competitive. Real, prolonged sales growth is all about organic search and you don't stand a chance if you aren't targeting non-competitive phrases that get lots of searches

    As far as traffic goes, sure, you can keep paying for ads but unless you are making a bare minimum of $40 per sale, you are wasting time and money. Just realize that advertising is not the path to growth. What you see the first month in sales you can count on being the forever potential of your site;

    You can try to get traffic from social networks but don't count on them getting more than a tenth of a percent conversion rate unless you are selling the greatest, never seen before baby products.

    Hi,

    I would advice you to constantly post in IG to get traffic to your website.
    Also "like/follow" those people whom are your target customers.

    Pinterest could be a good option as well.

    It would be great if you put Facebook pixel in your website and get those visitors to come back to your site using Facebook Ads.

    The cost will be cheaper this way.

    Google adwords is now a days very costly for startup companies , if you have good budget then you can use Google Adwords but make sure that you are monitoring and changing keywords frequently , don't stuck on one keyword.

    Second best option is Facebook as its currently available in cheap rates and you can also create different boards on pinterest to generate traffic.

    Try using influencer shoutouts on Instagram. Not only will this be cheaper, but the instagram audience buys like crazy! What i would recommend is that you setup a Presell Page to one of your offers, and collect their emails. That way you can continue to market to them without always paying for shoutouts
