Shopify newbie needs help with apps

Started my own store recently and now looking for some apps to enhance it. Of course started from digging through a ton of "Top *any number here* apps for your super-duper Shopify store" lists on Google.
There are some decent lists like this one:

But most of them look like a sheer ad, so I, frankly, doubt their relevance and transparency (and aforementioned too, as it is a blog of some ERP).
Anyway, my question is about some proper inventory and automated invoices creation apps. Could you please suggest some and share some experience about handling product variants.

    Just simply go straight to the Shopify app store and search by categories and TOP`s.

    I'm using

    Oberlo to find items with epacket for countries of my choosing on Aliexpress. It has a chrome extension for auto import to shopify. You still edit items before going live. If you are not using Better Shipping you will need to set each variants weight individually after posting the item to your store if using weight shipping.

    Oberlo will also show you items that are gone from Aliexpress. And prevent selling of sold out variants if you so choose.

    Conversio for receipt emails, very useful. Offers return soon coupons, social share promotions and more.

    Infinite options to add options like personalizations such as engraving or uploading logos.

    Order lookup to reduce customer service efforts as customers can follow their orders shipping progress right from your site.

    i have a store and do not recommend spending a lot for apps until you start making some $$$

    get the free apps if you think they'll help. free apps that i use are:
    product reviews
    mcafee secure
    google shopping
    facebook feed
    aweber connector
    aweber add subscriber
    order printer
    mailchimp subscriber

    paid apps that i use:
    custom cat
    conversio
    hurrify
    yo
    retarget app

    i do not use oberlo, i use shopifiedapp. it works great when sourcing products and helps to easily identify epacket shippers on aliexpress.

    i've been up and running for about a year now.

    go slow on the apps

    you don't need them all at once.

    you need sales!
