So im looking to start a dropship company but it seems to me that the "niche" platform would be too limiting vs doing a "general store" platform where you could sell multiple types of items ? I guess one could open and run multiple websites but that seems over redundant and costly ? Would the supplier's ignore me for not having a specific "niche" website? Am i missing something here? Thanks for any help and understanding..

We've built more than 150 niche stores. They are easier to rank and easier to create authority pages for. Would you rather compete with Amazon and Walmart or create a niche store with many more of a specific product and offer customers much more detail and better service than the general all purpose stores?

As a consumer, would you prefer to buy from a site that really knows its products and has very detailed buying guides for that tight niche or buy from a superstore with general knowledge, no detailed help and no customer service rep who really knows the products?

Oh, and with the right niche, you can create websites that do six figure profits annually selling a relatively small number of products.

    Both work well.

General stores can work really well if you know what you are doing. Don't worry about Amazon and Walmart. Trust me on that one. People that talk about these kind of things don't understand how the consumer thinks. You can literally buy EVERYTHING on Amazon....But do you? No. What about your friends? They don't. Again, lots of people talking without actually testing things for themselves.

General stores are good to test a bunch of products in different niches.

Niches stores are easier in terms of cost per conversions when it comes to ads. I tend to prefer niche stores but again, general stores can be amazing too, and you can test any products. If you see certain types of products work really well, then you can open a niche store about only these kinds of products.

The supplier doesn't care what kind of store you have.
