I've always thought that M-commerce is simply an app version of eCommerce such as Amazon app. But I read somewhere that M-Commerce is different and requires more programming.

M-Commerce: electronic commerce conducted on mobile phones.

E-Commerce: commercial transactions conducted electronically on the Internet.

With those google definitions - M-commerce would be a specialized style of e-commerce. ...and would required specialized programming?

Note: I'm not a programmer ...the above is my guess but it makes sense.
