    I actually setup a shopify store and did $8k in profit my first month. The thing is, I have lots of affiliate marketing experience which I believe is harder than e-commerce. Without my experience, I do not think it would be possible to do it on my own in that short period of time. There are two factors that will make a store successful. The first one is the trust factor. Second thing is the traffic you are generating and you must track everything.

    I'd like to go with "test everything by yourself". E commerce experience is the best teacher in learning the ins and outs of the business. I have been quite some time in internet marketing but I am still surprise that there is still a lot of things that needs to be learned everyday.

    You can use Youtube or Google as search engine for tutorials and guides. Also forums like this by warriorforum helps in giving advises and tips for those starting. You can also join communities that are in the dropshipping/ecommerce niche.

    PS. Shopify has a community/forum for your inquiries and concerns.
