Hi,

I am a newbie to eCommerce. There are so many tools and platform out there. Should I go with Shopify or WP and eMart? I found WP easy for design. I don't know if eMart supports the payment.

I am just confused. Could you please help me step by step to start my journey? what should be my budget approximately to start with (membership with platform, tools, ads)?

Thanks

We always recommend a hosted shipping cart - especially for newbies. If you try hosting things yourself and using WordPress to save a whole $15/month, I guarantee you will be overwhelmed with trying to keep everything working properly because of security updates and plugins breaking every time WordPress issues another update (not to mention the nightmare of trying to keep your site PCI compliant with WordPress). Besides, WordPress is far more complex to learn than Shopify.

Use Shopify. It's very newbie friendly and if you can't afford $29/month, there is no reason for you to even consider going into business of any kind.

Once you learn the basics of Shopify or Wordpress it is fairly easy to make another site

What should be the most of your problems is how to market your store and gain sales
